Cinnamon-Scented Geranium

The cinnamon-scented geranium on Cinnamon's grave is just starting to bloom. The flowers are small, but gorgeous. I'm sure Cinnamon would have found them to be tasty! She liked to eat flowers, especially cut flowers on the dining room table.

California Poppies

California Poppies are in bloom in my neighborhood. When I was a kid, I would lean over to smell the flowers, and the petals would get suctioned up to my nose! Try it. It's a funny feeling.

Graffiti

This is interesting graffiti. How was it done? Spray paint on a USPS Priority Mail label, and then stuck to the crossing sign? Pretty clever!

Phranc

Guess who I ran into at the market yesterday? Phranc! She's one of my favorite singer/songwriters, and she's also an artist. Amongst other things. It made my day! She's so clever and funny, and I love her hair. I would have recognized her anywhere.

Artist Envy

Uh oh . . . I'm having a serious case of Artist Envy. I stumbled across Lisa Nankivil's website. Not only is her work great, but so is her website. Everything looks so professional, from her biography to her exhibition essays to her contact page.

I don't even know anything about Lisa Nankivil, but I want to be her. When will I get to the point where I'm just happy being myself and doing my own work? Sigh.

Cat

This is Cat, the cat who lives next door. Yes, she's a cat named Cat. Evidently she thinks she might prefer to live here, and she's moving in slowly. First she would sit on the fence and just watch everything going on over here. Now she's sleeping on the carpeted cat tree out back.

It's happened before. This is how I got most of my cats. They just moved in. Cat is waiting in the wings for a vacancy.
