A Day in the Life: Special Delivery
My Spoonflower fabrics arrived in the mail today, and they are fantastic! The color is dead on, and the resolution is pretty good, even though I used JPEG images instead of TIFFs. The fabric is a nice linen-cotton canvas, good for pillows or jackets. The picture below is how it looks on the back, and you can see the weave of the fabric.
I ordered fat quarters, which are 21" x 18". The designs are 18" x 18", and fit on a fat quarter with about 3/4" to spare for seam allowance.
You can see and order the two designs I've uploaded here. This is way too much fun! Think of the possibilities. Paintings turned into pillows, quilts, clothing . . . it's wild!

Thanks so much for posting pics of the samples you ordered. I am completely intrigued. :)
I know . . . it completely blows me away! They look better than I thought they would. The only thing that bothers me is the creases, but I suppose a good ironing will get them out. Are they washable? I'll have to try that, and see what happens. Now I can't wait to upload more designs! It's not like I need hundreds of pillows, but this is just so much fun!

Hi Linda, They don't say what materials they're using for the colors, except to say that it's "eco-friendly textile printing." I think it's probably pigments rather than dye. Or possibly inks.
