Here's the cover and the first few pages of my altered sketchbook for The Sketchbook Project at Art House in Atlanta. It was fun to do, and it turned out quite beautiful. Click on images to enlarge.
I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the sweet earth's flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree.
I really like these. Funny - I think the Art House has an opening tonight, because there is always an artwalk in that part of town the last Friday of the month. But - Alas, i have conflict, or I'd check them out in person
I am an artist, living and working in the Los Angeles area. I consider myself to be part "mad scientist," because I'm interested in observing the effects of combining unorthodox materials and manipulating paint in unusual ways.

so simple, so peaceful, so good!
(I would love to read the text)
Hi Claudia,
The text reads:
Trees
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
It's a poem by Joyce Kilmer.
